Change is Coming With a Dash of Colour

What's new you ask? Oh, I just graduated and am now done with my IB diploma. Ahh this is what joy feels like!

Anyway, now that I don't have school to worry about anymore, I will have a lot more time to focus on some proper blogging and I sure am planning some good quality content in the near future. I won't make a schedule because I never stick to them anyways, but I will give my blog some needed love and care. So you just stay tuned. I will also be doing some changes to my design and layout as I don't think the one I have now is anything special. I need to add a bit of "umph" and life into this little corner - don't you agree?

Alright so I have covered the two things on my mental list. Now I guess I should bring something a bit more interesting in this post as well. This weekend was the hottest one we have had so far this year I finally had the chance to put on my summer clothes without freezing my behind off, so I figured that it was a nice time to take some OOTD pictures! I have been longing to wear this bright orange skirt for a long time, and finally I could! Now, without further or-do, here you have it, my summer day outfit! Apologies in advance for my very pale limbs...

Steve Wonder Tank Top // A Flea Market in Thailand
(..at least I think it's Steve Wonder...It was a T-shirt but I cut off the sleeves :))
Skirt // Monki
Bikini // H&M
Sandals // H&M
Bracelets // BikBok & a Flea Market
Rings // BikBok & H&M
Sunglasses // Urban Outfitters

The lipstick I'm wearing is MAC's Costa Chic ("review" here)

I loved wearing summer clothes again, unfortunately the heat went away as soon as it arrived and the cold air is once again back in town. Oh well, I enjoyed it while it was here :) Has summer come to where you live yet?

Lots of Love,
Em

Floral Bomber

To me spring means sun, flowers, green grass and birds singing from the trees, at least that is the cliche part of spring. However I find that fashion tends to incorporate many of those things into spring and summer trends. The SS trends are my favourites as I love wearing colours and I enjoy wearing less thick layers (although that can be fun too).  This year, I have decided to put some more effort into my everyday style, and I cannot wait for school to be over (I have my last exam in 15 days so I'm almost there!!) so that I can work on my blog, YT channel, and style 100%. Ahh, they joy of graduating, huh?

Anyways, one example of spring themes incorporated into trends is this amazing bomber jacket in floral print by H&M that I got the other day. I have seen tons of variations of these jackets all over the shops, both high street and high end. This jacket paired with a neon tank top from Zara and some Levi's shorts (from Urban Outfitters) and I was left with the ultimate, casual spring outfit. Of course I forgot to add accessories before I took the pictures, but with a greenbow on my head, some miscellaneous bracelets and a couple of stackable rings I was set to take the streets in some worn Converse sneakers and a pair of black Ray-Ban wayfarer's. Hipster? Nah, just me :)

Do you have a favourite fashion season?

Lots of love,

PS: Keep your eyes peeled for this weekend, I have a good 'un coming up, although it is slightly serious, and a bit different I think you'll like it :) x

Blue Crop

Now a days I long for summer and the end of exams more than words can express. I therefore end up spending too musch time on planning blogposts, taking OOTD pictures, hang out on Twitter, Instagram, various blogs and YouTube...not good. Exams start next thursday which means I need to focus on studying, but it is just do boring! I really sympathise with all of you who are also preparing for or are in the middle of exams!

Anyways, despite the temperature still being quite low-ish (10 degrees isn't really anything to brag about in the middle of April..) I have whacked out my cropped tops and short skirts! Obviously still wearing them tights but you know, it still counts! Right?

The other day I was sporting a fairly new, blue cropped top by New Look together with a black pencil skirt in cotton from Monki and some bangles from around the world - literally. The top has a gorgeous texture/print in the fabric that reminds me a little of aztec pattern but it just gives the top more dimension and a little somethin' somethin'. I really think New Look  does have a few gems in stock this year and they have stepped it up a notch with their collections which gives them a humongous thumbs up from me at least!

What do you bring out from your closet to prepare for the warmer months?
Let me know in the comments! :)

Lots of Love,

Em

Summer Style: The Festival Re-run

As the sun has left my dear old city for a little while (she's been here for over 2 consistent months, so can't complain) and given us grey skies and rain, I found my self longing even more for the long, hot summer days, wearing light summer clothes. So since I am already stuck in bed with my annual cold I figured I might as well go ahead and share a few outfits I cannot wait to sport this summer!

Whilst my mind was wandering my immune system shut down - apparently I use my energy for daydreaming rather than keep myself healthy - and this has led to me getting sick once again, I. Hurray for that, eh?

Back to the topic of summer fashion. As you may know I am going to "T in the park" which is a music festival in the south of Scotland, due to this a lot of the summer outfits I put together in my head are festival apt. Still I want to share some with you, and so I have decided to make a little series out of this and share one outfit a a week more or less for the next few months! Sounds good?

Today I decided to go for a very traditional festival look. Distressed denim shorts (Levi's), Cropped T-shirt with fringes (H&M), mismatch of jewellery and of course; round, brown sunglasses (Urban Outfitters). I love this kind of casual, laid-back style for any occasion when the weather allows it, not only at festivals.

Nail Polishes F.L: Sparkle and Fade (does not have a name, but it was bought at Urban Outfitters), L'oréal Colour Riche in Blue Reef, TopShop Nails in Jewel In The Crown

I hope you enjoyed this look and the way I presented it, if you did, then please let me know in the comments and be sure to look out for the next "Summer Style"post!

Ps: I just joined "Independent Fashion Bloggers" so if you have an account there, feel free to add me as a friend! Other than that, I still have all my links listed below ;)

Love my new Levi's shorts. They are the perfect lenght, sits nicely on the hips and fit loosely around the thighs, just the way I like it! Can't wait to pair these with fresh summer tee's and tanks, and boy will they come with me to "T in the park" (music festival)!! Aah, summer cannot come soon enough.

Did you like this quick OOTD and is it something you would want to see more of?

Lots of love, always

Spring is back

spring is back

Lace shirt / Abercrombie & Fitch floral jeans / Giuseppe Zanotti platform high heels / Ray-Ban black optical

I know I've been a horrible blogger the past few weeks, and to be honest I have no other excuse than that I have had no inspiration at all. However I am back with some loaded batteries - the spring sun is a charger for more than solar panels! Next week I am off to England (London, Manchester and Leeds) for a week to visit some universities, see my aunt, uncle and cousin(s) and of course - do some shopping! Spring is coming at full speed and I believe it is time to bring out those lovely florals and pretty colours. I don't know about you, but I cannot wait to finally slip on a pretty dress wthout worrying about wearing thick, itchy woolen tights that does not match. So, in the time of spring I made a little outfit on my ployvore account that I would love to wear once the temperature rises. If you are interested in checking out a few more of the sets I have created then follow the link above, or the one below and you will be lead straight to my profile :)

If you are a polyvore user too, then please leave your link below so that we can all inspire and get inspired by each other's great sets! Let's face this new season in style, shall we?

Where to go and where not to go in Paris

What comes to your mind when i say shopping in Paris? I'm going to take a wild guess and bet that it is Vintage, Luxurious (Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Armani...oh the list is long) and oh, Champs-ÉlysĂ©es. Did I get it right? I know those were the first things I thought of before I actually went to Paris. I can't at all call me an expert when it comes to the best places to shop in Paris, but I do know how I felt about the places we went to and therefore I thought I would share where I think you should make the time to go and where you should not.

Firstly, unless you love tons of people pushing and rushing, noisy traffic and five of each different store up the same street then I don't see a reason to go to Champs-ÉlysĂ©es unless you actually want to be able to say that you've at least been there. If you fancy stores such as Tommy Hilfiger and Louis Vuitton then go for it - Champs-ÉlysĂ©es is probably just your thing, but personally I found it to make me exhausted from the moment I set my feet on that street's sidewalk.

Agood alternative though, actually a better alternative I would say, is Rue De Rivoli. It has tons of stores, everything from H&M and Zara to Sephora and Yves Rocher to a few of those exclusive and extremely overprized French brands. Not to mention that there are a few vintage shops and that Louvre is basically placed right on this street. Notre Dame is just across the bridge and the amazing shopping center La Fayette is only 5-10 minutes away. Oh and a street called Av. de l'OpĂ©ra that is leading down to Rue de Rivoli (intersecting right by Louvre) is also a nice street with more unique shops and boutiques!

Other than that I simply suggest to take the metro to any stop, and start exploring the hidden treasures in the narrow streets. Hope this helped if you are going to visit this gorgeous city in the near (or far) future! If you have any suggestions for my readers or for me on shopping in Paris, then let us know in the comments!

Paris: Outfit

7 down and 5 to go of the 12 days of Christmas posts, which means that there will be one new post every day up until Monday, 24th of December!
I had an amazing time in Paris over the weekend, and I am working on making a little video of the things we did. As soon as that's done I will post it here, and hopefully that will be before 12 days of Christmas is over :) Anyway, while in Paris I finally found the winter coat I have been looking everywhere for, and what better way to show it to you than in some "taken in the hotel bathroom just before leaving" pictures? Oh well, I realize I should have made the effort to take some more decent pictures but these will do for now. You will no doubt see this coat again, very shortly, and in way better quality. That's a promise.

Apparently this is Dead Serious Stuff...

Coat // Zara

Skirt // H&M
Thights // H&M

My "headband" is really a bandeau but it does the trick and it is from Monki
Ear - "chain" or whatever you would call it is from TopShop and I absolutely adore it!

Hope you are having a good day!
