Product Picks For A Summer Face

When it comes to face makeup I can't get enough. I love trying new primers, bases, bronzers and highlighters. The whole shabang. As it's been absolutely gorgeous weather over here this summer (past few weeks have been sunfilled and hot hot hot - talking 30 degrees) I haven't been wearing much on my face most days, but on makup days the following has been my go-to mix for the face:

To prep and give my face a bit of colour and glow I use Clarins Instant Smooth Self Tanning and my well loved Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer. If I feel the need for foundation I will go for Chanel Vitalumière Aqua and then go over the under eye area and any spots with my MAC Studio Finish Concealer, some days though I skip the foundation and just go over with some studio finish.

To shape things up I reach for Too Faced Chocolate Soleil for some bronzing and contouring as I find that this product has the perfect colour tone for me for the summertime. For blush I tend to go with MAC Extra Dimension Blush in Seduced at Sea unfortunately this is limited edition from the Alluring Aquatics Collection but I do believe you can still get it online. If not Benefit Rockateur is a good dupe. To finish it all off I use the highlighter in the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette and I have to say - this is probably my favourite highlighter of all time.

So that's it, my go-to summer face makeup for the days I feel like putting on a little something something. I'd love to know if you have a few products you reach for more during the warmer months! Let me know in the comments!

Top 3 Summer Lipsticks

MAC Show Orchid / MAC Lady Danger / Chanel
I have been a 'beauty gal' for quite a few years now but its only this past year or so that I've found a love for lipsticks. I am still not a fan of the lipgloss and don't really see that changing any time soon but lipsticks, oh yes.

The only thing with me is I don't go for the typical nudes and pinks. If I wear lipstick it is more often than not a bright or bold one, and if I do go for a nude it is one out of the only two I own. A post all about my two nudes is coming right around the corner so stay tuned if you're a nude lips kind of girl.

Anyway, back to my point. Bold and bright lips. I love my MAC Rebel but sometimes I feel like something 'happier' as Rebel is sometimes a bit dark especially for summer and it is then that I reach for the three above.

Show Orchid has been on my wishlist since I read about it on Becky's blog(One you definitely need to check out if you haven't already. She's a top girl that one) and I finally got my hands on it at the pro store in London. It's a MAC amplified so it is super opaque and has a bloody brilliant staying power. All 8 hours of my shift with only one teeny touch up to be precise.

Lady Danger was all Molly's fault (another top girl right there), although I do thank her for making me buy it as it is the most perfect matte, orange toned red I have come across.

As for the Chanel Mélodieuse - Who can say anythng bad about chanel?  This bad boy has got the mix of peach and pink just right so that I don't feel like a barbie doll nor a wannabe fruit. It has a very moisturising consistency and bit of a stain-like finish which I think is perfect for the summer months. I got mine in my Marie Claire beauty bag and it has been living in my bag ever since.

What are your go-to summer lipsticks?

My Internship at Marie Claire

It's been 2 months since my internship at Marie Claire finished and I'm only just now getting round to writing about my whole experience there. Shame on me. Anyway, better late than never right? As summer's here I reckon there are a few of you out there with an internship or some work experience lined up for the summer and I thought I'd give you a few tips and tell you a bit about how I found my time as a beauty intern at Marie Claire.

Being an intern doesn't necessarily mean you go on coffee runs and do your boss' errands all day long. In fact I was only asked to run out a couple of times during the 3 weeks I was there. In all fairness I came to Marie Claire just as they were starting to plan a major beauty shoot in the Maldives where they were going to shoot 7 stories. That meant me and Caitlin (the other beauty intern) had more than enough clothes, shoes, makeup and accessories to call in from all sorts of brands. I don't know how much we ended up getting in the end but it must have been several thousand items. We were literally drowning in designer clothes and shoes.  Sounds like any girls dream but it gets a bit exhausting remembering who everything is by and where we borrowed it from.  One tip I can give if you're asked to call in large amounts of clothes etc. - keep a detailed list of everything you've got and keep collections/designers together for a better overview.

Although we were both beauty interns; due to this big shoot we ended up working more with clothes than beauty products. The first 2 weeks went to lots of emailing, calling and hanging up clothes on rails. There was also a ridiculously stressful day of packing everything the stylist wanted for the shoot into 7 suitcases. It was absolute madness but despite feeling deat at the end of the day it was probably one of the most fun days just because you really get a feeling of how hectic it can be.

Now I got to do more than just the above, some of it was making moodboards for the fashion features editor, help select beauty products to be featured in the magazine, deliver and collect products that were going to be shot/had been shot for the magazine down at a nearby photo studio, and that sort of thing. The most exciting and the biggest thing I got to do was to write a piece for the Marie Claire website. A very exciting task for me - being a blogger and all, but I have to admit it is very different and challenging to write when it's not in 'your own voice'. You can click here if you want to read it.

Being an intern at a magazine such as Marie Claire, in a city like London is not just exciting, it is extremely challenging and a lot of hard work and patience. You have to expect a lot of the work you do to be quite repetitive, but if you show that you are reliable and effective you'll see that soon enough you might get bigger responsibilities. I got my internship partly through contacts and partly through my blog. The beauty features editor wanted me to do more writing and beauty related things but unfortunately there wasn't enough time due to the big shoot trip we were working on. I am so happy I got to do a little bit of it though as it is invaluable experience that you can only really get from an internship like this. And let's not forget about the amazing goodie bag I got to make myself before I left. Just like a kind in a candy shop - with money to spend. Check out some of my treats below.

I know this was a lengthy post but it is hard to put 3 intense weeks into few words. I do hope you liked it and that it was interestin or helpful to any of you who are considering doing an internship yourselves! I could not recommend doing it enough - it is just such an incredible opportunity. A second part to this post featuring my top tips will be up in a week or so, so keep an eye out for that.

Thank you so much to those of you who keep stopping by my blog even though I have been very bad on the update front the past months, I really do appreciate it! An outfit post is on its way and should be up within the next few days.

Em

At-Home Eyebrow Dye

If there is one thing I rely on doing on a regular basis beauty wise it's dying my eyebrows. I've got pretty light brows so to make filling them in a lot quicker and easier I turn to at-home dyes. Use whichever brand you can find in your local pharmacy/drugstore/beauty shop - they all work in more or less the same way. I usually go for Depend's little dye kit for brows and lashes in the colour brown. I used to use the black-brown colour and loved it as it stays nice and dar for longer than the brown but it is a bit too dark for me during the first days after dying so I've decided to try the brown now.

It is very straight forward once you just read the instructions but I'll go throught it über quickly here anyway. Mix around 2 cm of the cream with 10 drops of the liquid until it's a reasonably smooth 'paste'. Use the spoolie to brush your brows into shape and then use it to apply the dye to your brows. Try and maintain the shap you usually keep your brows in as this will make it neater and easier to fill in later on. Also make sure to clean up any dye you may have applied outside your brows - it does dye skin temporarily  so be careful so you don't get brown patches all over. Then just leave it on for 5-15 mins depending on  how dark you want it (I keep it on for 15) and then wash it off thouroughly.

Not the best after picture here but hey, it does the job.

And that is how I make everything eyebrow related a little bit easier and quicker, around about every 3-4 weeks. Do you dye your brows or have you considered it? If so let me know if this was of any help!

I'm not going to do the whole 'sorry I've been gone' speech simply because I'm not sorry. I needed a bit of a break and now we'll see if it did any good and if maybe  I'll manage to actually post regularly again. In the meantime you can head over to Bloglovin and follow me to be notified when I do post next.

Current Skincare Routine

We all know that it's important to take care of our skin, but sometimes - actually most of the time, heading to the bathroom to have water going everywhere and sticky moisturiser get all over your hands is not very tempting. That's why I've now made my skincare routine as short, sweet and simple as possible, yet make sure it has everything my skin needs.

First thing I do is remove my make up if I've got any on. I do that with my much loved MAC Cleanse Off Oil - the best make up remover I have found so far for easily removing my waterproof mascara. After doing that ans rinsing it off with water I start massaging my Pai Camellia and Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser all over my face, then gently remove it with a warm, damp cloth. I always splash some cold water in my face afterwards to close open pores and to give a little boost.

On to moisturiser. It's been mentioned on here before and for good reason; Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack is my one true love when it comes to eye creams. Its cooling, light, hydrating and depuffs my often puffy eyes (lovely.). In the mornings I tend to just follow up with my Embryolisse Lait-Cremè Concentré which is the perfect moisturiser for anyone who needs a bit of extra hydration but want to avoid the oily, sticky ones for the daytime. At night though I have fallen head over heels for the Egyptian Magic. Best way to describe it is as a sort of hard oil - when you rub it between your fingers it melts into an oil like consistency that applies very easily to the face but takes a little while to absorb (hence why I use it at night).

Apart from the eye cream all these products are ones I only started using about a month back and I don't know which one it is (or if it is the combination of all three) but I have never had clearer, brighter or softer skin. I don't bother wearing much make up on a daily basis anymore simply because its not really needed, but when I do it applies like a dream. I want to say that the Egyptian Magic has most of the blame but I am not entirely sure. All I know is that if you do come across it and have slightly dull or dry skin - give it a try.

Hope youe enjoyed this post and that it might have given you some tips for what to look into getting next time you're on a skincare product hunt!

'Back to Bases'

Yes, I changed the look of my blog again. Only slightly though, but I have to admit the whole blog design thing is something Ifind hard to get right. It is like I'm never fully satisfied with what it looks like. But enough about that.

As I've already covered my favourite primers I thought I'd move on to what usually comes next; favourite bases. I'm a massive fan of finding nice bases, especially natural looking ones that will still even out my skin and cover what needs to be covered. The following ones range from light to full coverage but if applied right will all look very skin-like, flawless and natural.

Lightest first, the Diorskin Nude BB Cream has been mentioned on here more than a few times so I won't go on too much about it, but for a light, everyday base that evens out the skin and gives it a light glow - this is your best friend. Read a full review here. Available for £30 at Feelunique.

Chanel Vitalumière Aqua is a much loved foundation in the beauty blogging world. A light to medium coverage that stays in place, looks like skin and creates a flawless, glowing complexion. Very light feeling and hydrating but not at all oily. For best result I like to use my fingers to apply it. Available for £33 at Boots.

One I'd never heard of until I had a browse on cultbeauty quite a while ago is Alison Raffaele Reality Base Foundation which has the most appropriate name ever. It looks like skin, feels like skin (actually the product feels a bit like applying water to your face but once it's on it feels like skin), stays all day and  has a buildable medium to full coverage. Only downside is the slightly funny smell but that goes away once its set. The finish is very natural so not overly glow-y or matte but somewhere in between. Available for £35 at BeautyBay.

Last one is my newest addition and also the one I will probably use the least. Not because I don't like it because I really do (it wouldn't be in my 'favourite bases' post if I didn't), but because I just don't tend to go for full coverage products unless it is a special occasion or I'm going out - which is what I bought it for. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation is another favourite in the world of beauty and it is not without reason. It gives flawless, longlasting, full coverage without looking cakey. I use it mixed with other, lighter foundations or with a damp beautyblender. Available for £34 at SpaceNK.

I know these are all high end products and I'm sorry I didn't include any high street ones, but when it comes to face products I do find that my skin prefers higher quality products. I'm not saying high street ones are bad, just that I haven't found a favourite there yet.

I would love to hear what your favourite face products are so let me know in the comments! Also love finding new blogs to read so pop your link in as well and I'l have a look. If you want to follow my blog you can do that here.

Modelling, Internship & Fever Time

Hello! It's been a while, and I'm sorry about that but I've been prettty caught up in coursework, nice weather, stepping into the world of modelling, preparing for and starting my internship with Marie Claire, at the same time as dealing with being more ill than I thought I was capable of. Over the past weeks I've been lucky enough to have a cold go from just a bit annoying to very bad to what I reckon was a bad case of the dreaded flu, fever and all. On top of that I also managed to get an eye infection and have just been feeling a bit drained, but I'm well on my way to recovery now (I hope...touch wood)! Apart from being ill I have to say life has been pretty good lately and now I shall return to my blog with lots of inspiration.

As I mentioned above I have very recently started modelling for the Manchester based agency J'adore Models  and although I've only done a couple shoots so far I've enjoyed it a lot. They scouted me last autumn at Vouge's Fashion Night Out but I kept putting off getting in touch with them up until now. You can see pictures from one of the shoots on their website jadoremodels.co.uk.

My Internship has, to be honest, been a bit 'so so' this far. I wasn't expecting much but as a beauty intern I was expecting to at least work with beauty related tasks but up until today all I got to do was e-mail fashion brands for 8 hours a day, asking if they have any clothes we can borrow for a big upcoming shoot. Yesterday I got to help cut out images for trendboards and today was actually the most interesting day so far as I got to call out to make-up brands to have them send up products. I can't complain - it is a very good opportunity to get experience and contacts and will look great on my CV, but I think everyone can relate to having a bad start somewhere new. It looks like I will have some more variety in what I get to do from now on though so that's  great.

So yeah, I am currently in London trying to do my best at Marie Claire whilst revising for exams and doing coursework - and getting very addicted to Game of Thrones... bad combo, but such a good show I can't stop now that I've started.

A little collage from some of the things I've done the past month.

I just wanted to update those of you who may want to know what's up, but from now on my posts will go back to their normal beauty/fashion content. If you want to keep up with what I do at MC head over to my Instagram and Twitter where I'll post a lot more about it.

A beauty post will be up this weekend so keep an eye out for that!

Prime(r) Time

I have always seen primers as a bit unnecessary but over the past 6 months + I have discovered that when you use the right one it can do wonders. Therefore I wanted to share with you my top picks when it comes to that first layer of makeup. Keep in mind I tend to go for ones that give a dewy finish and adds glow to your face.

My latest addition but also clear favourite is the Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer. This guy is the best of both worlds; adds the most gorgeous glow at the same time as it holds my foundation intact all day long, and you only need the smallest drop sized amount. Works wonderfully on its own with a tiny bit of concealer and powder or under BB cream or foundation. It was love at first try with this one. Available at Selfridges for £19. If you want a cheaper option then go for the L'Oréal Lumi Magique Base which is very similar although has a pearl like finish rather than the more golden finish that the Laura Mercier one has. Still gorgeous though and it does do a good job at keeping your make-up in place. Available for £9.99 at Superdrug. The Dior Airflash CC Primer smooths and very subtly evens out your skin tone. It doesn't add any glow in particular but is very light and perfect to spray on under a BB cream for a good but not too heavy primer. Get it at Feelunique for £30. Last, but not least is the most illuminating and glow-giving out of them all; MAC Strobe Cream. Not exactly a primer in my eyes as it doesn't do much for the longevity of my foundation but it is absolutely a great base for those days when you need to add some life back into your face. Looks good with just a bit of powder on top or under any base that you normally use. Get it here for £23.50.

Do you have any favourite primers or prep products for your base? Let me know in th comments and I might try it out! Also leave your bloglink if you have a bloglink as  I am always on the lookout for new ones to read and follow.

A YSL Virgin No More

Oh the joy of owning my very first stunning Yves Saint Laurent lipstick. This one is from the SS14 Limited Edition and is in the colour Rose Asarine. I have already been wearing it several times despite buying it less than a week ago. The packaging, the formula, the colour, the staying power, the finish - it is all perfect. I will give you one advice, next time you're near a YSL counter - have a swatch (and a buy) - I promise you will not regret it.

Emma Hardy, The Queen of Skincare

For about a year I have been lusting after the Emma Hardy Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm. Partly due to viviannadoesmakeup's much repeated love for it but also due to the idea of rubbing a oily balm on my face every morning and night. An idea I found very intriguing. About a month ago I came across it in the sales at feelunique and figured it was a sign. An oversized, blinking, neon light sort of sign. So I bought it and I've now been using it since. The verdict? I am head over heels for it.

My idea did not disappoint nor did Anna. It truly is an amazing cleanser that cleans your skin well without leaving it feel stripped and dry. The oils add moisture and the muslin cloth you wipe it away with (in circular motions) gently exfoliates your face leaving it feel as soft as a baby's bum. A lot of people use this on its own to remove their makeup but I prefer to remove my makeup with the MAC Cleanse Off Oil first and then use this as I don't like to get the muslin cloth covered in makeup. The massive tub will probably last me forever as you only need the tiniest amount to cover your whole face as it melts into an oily consistency once you start applying it.

Have you tried the Cleansing Balm? What did you think of it? Also I would love it if you could give my blog a little follow on Bloglovin' as that really helps me out and means a lot to me :) Have a great weekend everyone!

Beauty Innovation

OK,  so I managed to delete this post as I was removing a few undone ones in my archive. Good job Em. I won't write it all again, but I'll make it a quick and short recap of what I wrote in the deleted post.

Basically there is this new website called MyBeautyCompare which is the world's first website where you can compare beauty products' prices. A little while ago they sent me an e-mail asking if I could have a look at their page, see what I thought and share my experience with my readers. I though I'd give it a go and here's my verdict.

First there's a mini survey you fill out when you sign up where you submit your skin tone/type, hair length and so on. This is so that they can give you suggestions and product reccomendations tailored to you. I've had a bit of a play around with the feature and they do give pretty good suggestions as I already have and love some of the products they've mentioned so I know they work for me. There are also reviews, a forum, a blog where there'll be lots of news related to brands and products, video tutorials and a newsletter you can sign up to where you will get special offers. It's a site that has pretty much everything a beauty girl wants and I don't think it will stay new and unknown for long. I will definitely keep using it for whenever I want the best deal on a new product or just want a bit of inspiration as to what to get next.

I highly suggest you have a look at MyBeautyCompare and see what you think - and if you like it you can sign up and get all the good benefits :)

CHLOÉ

Ahh where to begin? The absolutely stunning bottle is a good start. Same as the original but with a pink coloured ribbon tied at the top. Just to add a little something, something. To me it's a better version of the original which in my opinion is a bit too much. Roses de has a more light scent, clearly with the main note being rose. However the rose is not too overpowering - I would know as I am not usually a big fan of the flower's scent, but mixed with the amber and musk that Chloé so cleverly adds to her fragrances it is just the right amount. It is a bit sweeter than the original so a little goes a long way, but unless you plan on go having a bath in it you'll be on the safe side and not smell like a walking macaroon.

Have you any of tried the Chloé fragrances, if so which is your favourite? Also, I would absolutely love it if you'd give my blog a little like on Bloglovin' as it makes my day :) All my other links are at the bottom of this post as usual.

Tom Ford Love

Please do excuse the 'not brand new-ness'

If there's one High End beauty brand I never really gave too much attention it would have to be Tom Ford. Obviously I've been aware of the very high quality, and as everyone else, heard the loud raves from all the top make-up artists such as Charlotte Tilbury and Lisa Eldridge. The thing is I just always figured I wasn't really missing out on anything by remaining a Tom Ford virgin. Oh how wrong I was.

If there's one thing living in Manchester's done to me it is increase my infatuation with Selfridges' beauty department. A few months back I went in for a browse and happend to end up at the Tom Ford counter after impatiently waiting for 10 minutes at the MAC counter to get a new cleanse off oil (they were out by the way. Yay.), and that was when it dawned on me that this was the definition of a luxury beauty brand.

I ended up being persuaded by the lovely salesman  to buy not only the Shade and Illuminate in 01 but also the last remaining limited edition Cream Colour for Eyes in 05 Pink Haze that he'd found in the back of a drawer that very day. We were both puzzled it was still there when every other item from the LE collection had sold out immediately during summer. Faith that's what I call it. The two products turned out to be my best purchased of a lifetime as I've been using them both more or less every single day since. Both the Shade and Illuminate and the Cream Eyeshadow is creamy, light, non-sticky and long-wearing. The Shade and Illuminate give the most incredible natural glow with the countour not being too orange toned and the highlighter's healthy glow in a pan minus the shimmer. My best friend Harriet is a big fan and ever since we met I have had to ask almost every day how she gets her glow. Now I know. The Cream Eyeshadow is a lovely rosy pink with hints of gold and it is so pigmented the tiniest little dab is enough for an entire lid. Goes well with almost any look and also looks great on its own.

I'll stop going on about my new found love before I sound like a crazy person, but if you want to splurge on a new product I highly reccomend Tom Ford. I would love to hear if you've tried anyhting from the brand or if you have a different luxury brand that you adore. Let me know below!

New Rituals

As I'm hosting what seems to be an endless pity part for me and my tonsillitis I have been treating myself to some of my favourite glossies, including the December issue of Marie Claire which happened to include quite the treat. Enter Ritual's Fortune Scrub.

I love a good scrub and boy is this one good!! Firstly, lets chat about its glorious smell - Sweet Orange and Cedar. Ahhh is all I have to say. As for its scrubbing abilities, it is rough enough to make it feel like you are actually scrubbing away all that dead skin, yet gentle enough so that it isn't painful or irritating on the skin. I've found this to be the perfect scrub and will definitely be re-purchasing it once I run out of this one (even though that will probably take a little while seeing as the people over at Marie Claire were generous enough to give a full size 150ml bottle!)

It retails for £10 but can be bought with the current issue of Marie Claire for £3.90 (Bargain!).

Have you tried anything from Rituals? If so what, and how do you like it?

The Rockateur

Even though I know there are countless reviews of this new boxed addition to Benefit's blushers I wanted to do one myself. Simply because I used be a big 'no-blusher' kinda gal and also because this bad boy made me see how incredible a blush can be. I'll make it nice and quick - I mean there's only so much you can write about a new product you're loving (not really, I could probably go on for ages.) Anyway, to the point.

Rockateur is a lovely rosegold like blush with a hint of shimmer which gives you a gorgeous dewy, healthy look. The consistency is very smooth and it blends easily and seamlessly into a natural looking, gorgeous flush of colour. It has a quite fresh, slightly floral scent to it but nothing too overpowering once it's applied. As for staying power, I find that it lasts for however long my foundation lasts which obviously depends on which one I'm wearing that day, but I would say it does stay on for a good 6-8 hours without needing a touch-up. The only thing I am not a massive fan of it the brush it comes with which is just a bit awkwardly shaped, or the design on the box - I find it a bit tacky. But don't judge a book (or a blush) by its cover (box)! The product is great and that's really all that matters.

You can pick it up here at Feelunique for £23.50

If you've tried it, let me know what you think in the comments :) And also, if you haven't already you can follow me on Bloglovin here - that way you'll never miss a post ;)

Easy & Quick Day-To-Night Look

So I guess we can all agree on that consistent posting is not my strong suit...
Today however I decided to do a whole 'day-to-night' dedicated post all on how I very quickly transform my normal day look into a much more dramatic and glamorous night-look. Grab your Rimmel Scandaleyes products and one of your UD Naked palettes and lets get to work.

DAY

For the base I kept it light and natural with some BB Cream and a light stroke of bronzer/blusher.  On the  eyes I used th Rimmel Shadow Stick on my outer corner, blended that in with the Eye Paint and then lined the upper lashline and outer corner of the lower lashline with MAC's Teddy. After some curling of the lashes I added my go-to mascara.

NIGHT

I wanted my nighttime look to be quick but still flawless and quite dramatic. I touched up my foundation with True Match (a new little favourite), then did some contouring with Hoola and added a bit of glow with my TopShop Crescent Moon highlighter. With a little pencil brush in my hand and some tissue under my eye to catch any fall down I used the matte black in the Naked2 palette to create a strong, but well blended outer v shape. I took it into the crease a bit and along half of the lower lash line. Could also have done this using the colour Creep from the original Naked palette. I made sure to build up the v shape to be very black, smoky and intense. I added the gorgeous gold colour Half Baked to the lid space not 'occupied' by the black, then took it along the inner half of the lower lash line. I made sure to make the gold very upaque before I softly blended the line between gold and black to soften the harshness of it.

Then after a quick coat of mascara I was done. It might sound like a long process but trust me it wasn't. I hope you all enjoyed this post. I am going to try and do a weekly post from now on as I think that is a realistic goal. If you have anything you'd like me to blog about then let me know and I will get on it! Also, thank you to everyone who follows me on Bloglovin - I just hit 100 followers the other day and I am so so thankful to all of you who read my blog. If you haven't yet but want to you can go here to follow me!

'The Night Out Prep'

Ok so I have now had an unacceptably long break from blogging whilst settling in to uni, which by the way is incredible. I love the people I live with, the course I am doing, the people on my course, the city I'm in and basically just everything. Since arriving I have been trying to just focus on being here and taking everything in so I decided that my blog would just have to wait. Until now! I'm back and I have missed typing away on my keyboard so expect to hear from me in between my lectures and events from now on.

Over to today's post! Seeing as there has been a lot of partying and going out these past few weeks I have found that I tend to do more or less the same little beauty routine every time, and as it has been working really well so far with keeping my skin clear, hydrated and glowing all day and all night I figured it was only right to share it with you.

Stage 1: The Prep 10 minutes with Origins Drink Up Mask makes sure my skin is hydrated and soft, then a quick cleanse with Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish and a blob of Benefit's Triple Performance Facial Emulsion and my face is ready for Stage 2: The Base.

Stage 2: The Base A drop of MAC's Strobe Cream mixed in with my well loved DiorSkin Nude BB Cream makes for a gorgeous glow and flawless finish that's perfected with some Studio Finish Concealer for any redness. Benefit's Hoola Bronzer and Rockateur Blush make the perfect combo for a bit of contouring and colour.

Stage 3: Eyes My favourite part, including two new discoveries that has revolutionised my eyeshadow routine. A quick, thick line of Rimmel's Eyeshadow Stick in Bad Girl Bronze blended together with Rimmel's Eyeshadow Paint  in Rich Russet makes for the easiest smokey eye ever. Add a bit of a warm brown, such as this one from Dior's Grège palette, to add slightly more definition then some mascara and you're good to go once you have your brows set. For that I swear by Benefit Brow Zings especially for night out's as it has incredible staying power.

There, that's that. A bulletproof look that will stay on and look good all night - none of those horrendous pictures where your eyeliner is on your cheeks and your eyebrows have melted together into a mono.
